By placing any order with Fayette Studio customer agrees to the following terms and conditions:
All orders are considered firm once Fayette receives a deposit. Should Fayette Studio (“Fayette”) accept a cancellation of an order (which acceptance may be withheld by Fayette in its sole discretion), Fayette shall have the right to retain in full the deposit paid by buyer for such order. Fayette will not entertain any request to accept cancellation of any custom or special order. In the event a cancellation is approved, a store credit will be issued.
CUSTOM HANDMADE RUGS:
For custom colors and custom patterns, we strongly advise making a strike off. Strike offs will ship approximately 4 weeks after orders are placed. The first two strike offs are at no charge and belong to Fayette Studio. Any additional strike offs will be billed at the strike off rate listed on your estimate or invoice. If no rate is listed it is a $250
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due to launch a custom strike off. Once strike offs are approved in writing, we will begin production on your full sized rug. Lead times depend on rug size and production location. Production lead times for a rug up to size 12’x15’ can range from 12-16 weeks once strike off is approved. Larger rugs may take more time. The balance of the invoice price is due before delivery.
Please note: Due to the handmade nature of our products, we allow +/- 5% color variation and +/- 3% size variation after washing.
Rugs larger than 10' wide may require a pallet to ship. Additional shipping charges may apply to rugs larger than 10' wide or 14’ long.
CUSTOM MACHINE MADE CARPETS AND RUGS:
A 50% non refundable deposit is due to launch a strike off. The cost of the first strike off will go toward the cost of the carpet/rug if Fayette keeps the strike off for our sample library. Although the mill does the best they can to keep dye lots consistent, standard colors can have dye lot variation between the strike off and the final carpet/rug.
Dye lot variations are common and expected. CFAs are available upon request and may incur a charge depending on the mill. We require a 50% deposit on all orders with balance before delivery.
Quoted delivery dates are approximate dates only. Fayette shall not be responsible for any delay in delivery or failure in performance for any cause beyond Fayette’s control (including, but not limited to, labor disputes, failure or delay of sources to supply, transportation difficulties, accidents, fires, acts of nature or acts of God) or any event which interferes with Fayette’s or its vendors’ normal business operations.
Fayette is not responsible and Purchaser is not relieved of its obligations where on-site conditions or limitations prevent delivery.
Our installers may book up to 6 weeks out. We will do our best to accommodate your installation needs but we will not schedule an installation until the carpet and any necessary accompanying material has been received and inspected. We require a 48 hour cancellation for installs or client can incur fees if the installer cannot be rebooked on short notice. If an installer arrives to a job and the jobsite is not ready for installation (at no fault of Fayette) there is a fee of up to $1200 AND the installation might not be able to be rescheduled immediately.
Fayette gladly accepts checks, wire transfers and credit cards. Please note that for credit cards a 3% convenience fee will be applied.
All claims against Fayette, including defects, shortages and errors must be made within seven days after receipt of the merchandise. Failure to make any claim within such period shall constitute acceptance of the merchandise and a waiver of said defects, shortages, errors or other claims. Fayette’s liability shall not exceed the contract price and Fayette shall in no event be liable for labor charges or any other consequential damages.
All rugs should be cleaned with suction only vacuum. A beater brush attachment can and will cause pulls and damage.
